• There are three different levels of hierarchy in EverNote:
  1. Notes
  2. Notebook
  3. Stack
• Whenever you start a new account, You have to create a new Notebook. You can later create Notebooks of your desire. Inside a notebook, you can store a number of Notes.To create a group of selected Notes you can simply drag a Notebook over another create a Stack of Notebook.

(Local Notebooks are available only on your local computer and not on Web services. Synchronized Notes are uploaded to the Web and can be accessed from anywhere.)

Backing Up Evernote Data

• You can use the Import or Export Option in Evernote paperless note taking or manually move the files from Default location.
• Go to the Export option. Save the file to the desired location where you want to create a backup of the notes. And similarly to restore you can use the import option.
• The Default Location of Evernote in MAC OS X is
  \Users\Usernames\Library\Application Support\Evernote
• Even if your hard disk crashes or you have lost the data from an account on deleting the account. You can manually backup these files & restore by simply copying files to its default location.
