Nowadays Gmail have many users and they saved their contacts in Gmail account. Samsung Galaxy S7 is the new version of Samsung and contacts stored in device phonebook. Sometimes we need to access Gmail contacts from device contact list. Without installing Gmail app on your device, It can be done through Synchronization method.

  • Sign in to Gmail with your Username and Password.
  • Click on the Gmail icon top left corner of the web page and choose “contacts”
  • From more dropdown menu select “export” option.
  • Click on “go to old contacts”
  • Select type of contacts from three option available.
    [Selected contacts, Group and all contacts]
  • Select in which format you would like to export from these three options [Google CSV format, Outlook CSV format and Vcard format]
  • Click Export
  • Select location to save your csv file.
  • Click ok.

Transfer CSV Contacts From Pc To Samsung Galaxy S7.

Follow these steps to transfer CSV file from PC to Samsung Galaxy S7.

  • Connect your Samsung Galaxy S7 to PC, Click “Open Device to view files”.
  • Select and drag the file into your device storage space.
  • When the transfer completed, disconnect the device from PC.
  • Click Contact app on your device, then select import/export option from top right corner of your device screen.
  • Select “import from SD card” and choose the contacts to move to your Samsung Galaxy S7.
  • After that you can see all your Gmail contacts in your device contact list.

How To Remove Gmail Contacts From Android Contact List

After synchronization you can raise a question that, how to hide or remove Gmail contacts from your device contact list. Sometimes you may not need all contacts to show in your device, otherwise its difficulty to search a particular contact from a bulk of contacts which is already synchronized. So follow these steps to delete Gmail contacts from your Android device.

  • Click on Contacts app in your device.
  • Select “Contacts to display” from more option [icon with three vertical dots].
  • Press Google which shows existing Gmail ids. Choose one Gmail id from which you want to erase all contacts from your device.
  • Select contacts and delete it.

But it’s not only contacts, you can also import files, Calendar, folders, Google slides and Sheets that you have already created in your Gmail account. But file format will vary for each document. For example, if you are importing Calendar it will be saved in .ics or .csv file format.
